Dogs in a Sweater
An easy twist on corn dogs from Quick Cooking's
Premiere issue. For a taste even more similar to corn dogs, try the
refrigerated cornbread sticks.
1 -11 oz package refrigerated breadstick dough
8 hot dogs
8 popsicle sticks
Separate dough; roll each piece into a 15-inch rope. Insert sticks into hot dogs lengthwise. Starting at one end, wrap dough in a spiral around hot dog; pinch ends to seal. Place "dogs" 1 inch apart on a baking sheet coated with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 18-20 minutes. Serve with choice of ketchup, mustard, ranch or BBQ sauce.
